What is EASe?
EASe is an electronic application system that collects pertinent employment
information about an applicant and depending on the job class applied for,
determines an applicant's rating of education and experience based upon
their responses to a series of questions.
How does EASe work?
Before You Begin
- The on-line application must be accessed using Internet
Explorer version 5.5 or higher.
- Pop-up blockers must be turned off for successful completion
of the on-line application. If problems still occur during the completion of the application it may be necessary for an applicant to set their pop-up blocker settings to always allow pop-ups from *.ease.mo.gov. Pop-up blocker settings can usually be found under “Tools” on the browser window.
- Internet security settings should be set to allow receipt
of important emails from Missouri State agencies regarding eligibility,
examination dates and times, scores, and job opportunities. Emails may appear in an applicants spam, junk, trash or bulk mail folder rather than their regular email folder. Depending on the email provider used, delays in delivery of emails could be significant.
EASe is comprised of a registration component and five easy steps:
- Registration - Applicants provide their Social Security
Number, a password, and an email address, as well as other personal information.
If needed, applicants may obtain a free email address from the following
site: Email Addresses.Com . After completing the registration process, applicants
should receive an email confirmation. If confirmation is not received,
applicants should log back on the on-line application to verify that the
email address is correct. Applicants may not receive confirmation if their
internet security settings are set too high, resulting in emails being
blocked. Emails may also appear in an applicants spam, junk, trash or bulk mail folder rather than their regular email folder.
- Step 1 - EASe confirms the information entered in the registration process
and builds a personal profile for the applicant.
- Step 2 - EASe collects information regarding education and training (i.e.,
high school or GED, vocational & military, college, internships/practicums
and certificates & licenses).
- Step 3 - EASe requests information regarding work history.
- Step 4 - EASe prompts the applicant to select a single job class for which
he or she can apply
- Step 5 - "Assessment of Qualifications" - EASe asks a series of questions
to determine whether the applicant meets the minimum qualifications for
the job class selected. If the applicant is eligible and the job class
requires a written examination, the applicant is notified by email of the
date, time and location of the examination. If the job class requires a
rating of education and experience, the applicant will respond to another
series of questions to determine the appropriate rating (score).
How do I apply on-line?
- View the "State of Missouri
Job Opportunities and Categories with Frequent Hirings"
and follow the instructions given in regard to submitting applications.
- Speed up the online application process - have certain documentation on hand before starting
the online application (i.e., employment history, veterans' form DD214 or NGB form 22, college transcripts, certificates, licenses, etc.).
